Anantnag; The 78th Independence Day was celebrated with immense zeal and patriotic fervor by educational institutions across Jammu and Kashmir.
These institutions marked the occasion by organizing a variety of events, including flag hoisting ceremonies, cultural performances, and speeches that highlighted the significance of the day.
Government Middle School Palpora, located in the Anantnag District, joined in the celebrations with great enthusiasm.
The event took place on the school premises, where the entire school community gathered to honor the nation’s freedom.
The ceremony commenced with the hoisting of the National Flag by the Headmistress, Mrs. Rifat Ara, who proudly led the proceedings.
As the tricolor unfurled against the sky, students and staff alike stood in respectful attention, singing the National Anthem in unison.
Mrs. Ara then took the salute, embodying the spirit of patriotism that was palpable throughout the event.
In her address, Mrs. Ara delivered an inspiring speech, paying tribute to the countless freedom fighters who made the ultimate sacrifice for the country’s independence.
She reminded everyone of the values and principles that these heroes stood for, urging the students to carry forward their legacy with pride and dedication.
