Kulgam, Nov, 22: A one-day awareness programme on drug de-addiction and mobile addiction was held at Green Valley Educational Institute in Yaripora, aimed at educating students on the dangers of substance abuse and the overuse of mobile phones. The event was attended by a large number of students.
The Chief Guest for the programme was Sandeep Sharma, Station House Officer (SHO) of Yaripora Police Station, who emphasized the importance of community involvement in combating addiction. In his address, SHO Sharma highlighted the alarming rise in drug abuse and the negative impact of excessive mobile phone usage on the younger generation. He urged students and youth to stay away from harmful habits and focus on building a brighter future.
Officials from the civil department were also present at the event, providing valuable insights on preventive measures and support systems available for those struggling with addiction.
