Kulgam, December 14, 2024; In a significant community outreach initiative, the 18th Battalion of CRPF organized a free medical camp at the Government Higher Secondary School in Khull Noorabad, Kulgam, under the Civic Action Program. The camp, which focused on providing essential healthcare services to residents of the far-flung areas of Noorabad, was held under the leadership of Commanding Officer (CO) Jitender Mohan, with supervision by Second-in-Command (2IC) Choudhary Mehesh Kumar.
The event was inaugurated by SSP Kulgam Shri Sahil Sarangal-IPS, who also served as the chief guest. The camp saw active participation from medical officers of the 18BN CRPF, along with doctors from the local health department. Together, they offered free consultations, medical checkups, and medication to the local population.
This initiative was widely appreciated by the local community, who expressed deep gratitude for the CRPF’s efforts in bringing healthcare to remote and underserved areas of Noorabad. Many locals, unable to access district hospitals, praised the camp as a vital lifeline for their health needs.
In a media statement, CO Jitender Mohan emphasized that the CRPF would continue to organize such medical camps across Kulgam, focusing on providing healthcare to those who struggle to reach district healthcare facilities. He reaffirmed the CRPF’s commitment to the well-being of the local population, highlighting the importance of such community-focused initiatives.
