Budgam, Dec 31: Doodhpathri, the picturesque meadow in Central Kashmir’s Budgam recorded an impressive milestone in 2024, attracting 1.86 million tourists.
Reyaz Ahmad, Chief Executive Officer of the Doodhpathri Development Authority, attributed this remarkable growth to years of sustained development and dedicated promotional efforts. “This surge in tourism is a reflection of our consistent efforts to make Doodhpathri a prime attraction for visitors from around the world,” he said.
“The breakdown of the tourist influx highlights the diverse appeal of the destination: 1,482 international tourists, 1,182,843 domestic travelers, and 681,255 local visitors explored the breathtaking landscapes and serene environment of Doodhpathri over the past year.”
CEO Reyaz Ahmad emphasized that this record turnout is not only a testament to Doodhpathri’s natural allure but also to the infrastructure and amenities developed in recent years. “The influx of visitors underscores the success of our initiatives to promote Doodhpathri as a premier tourist spot.
