Kulgam, January 23: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kulgam, Athar Aamir Khan, visited the Shrine of Mir Syed Ali Hussain Simnani RA today to assess the arrangements for the upcoming Shab-i-Mehraj celebrations. During the visit, the DC engaged with the shrine’s management committee to review the facilities being provided for devotees.

The DC issued directives to the Assistant Director, CA&PD to ensure the availability of essential commodities in food stores, emphasizing quality during the festival days. Additionally, he instructed the KPDCL and PHE authorities to ensure uninterrupted power and water supply to the shrine and nearby mosques where large crowds of devotees are expected.

To ensure smooth movement of devotees, the DC also directed municipal authorities to maintain sanitation in the area and clear snow from the Ziyarat road. Accompanying the DC were ACR Mushtaq Ahmad, Executive Engineers from Jal Shakti and KPDCL, EO MC Kulgam, and other officers.
