Baramulla, April 01: Chairperson of the District Development Council Baramulla, Ms. Safina Baig, today visited Old Town Baramulla to provide aid to families affected by the recent fire in Mohalla Jalal Sahib. Ms.Safina Baig personally distributed two months ration kits, blankets and clothes to 31fire victim families, contributing from her own resources.
In addition, financial assistance was extended by Muzaffar Hussain Baig, former Deputy Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir, to assist the victims further.
During her visit, Ms.Safina baig expressed her concern for the affected families,She said that the loss isimmense, but this aid is from my personal resources. I urge all stakeholders to come forward and help these families rebuild their lives.
She further appealed to the Lieutenant Governor of UT Jammu and Kashmir, Manoj Sinha and Chief Minister of UT Jammu and Kashmir, Omar Abdullah, to provide support for the rehabilitation of these families, so they can recover from this devastating loss.
This marks the second visit by Ms. Safina Baig to Old Town Baramulla following the fire, underscoring her continued commitment to assisting the affected community.
