Lalpora, April 10, In a significant development aimed at curbing drug menace Lalpora Police apprehended one individual during a routine patrol and recovered contraband substances from his possession.
On April 9, 2025 at approximately 2300 hours a police party from Police Station Lalpora while on patrolling duty in the Bunpora area noticed a person behaving suspiciously. The individual was intercepted and identified as Fayaz Ahmad Wani son of Abdul Rashid Wani resident of Lolab. During his personal search a substantial amount of Charas-like substance was recovered from his possession.
In this connection, FIR No. 19/2025 under Section 8/20 of the NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Lalpora and investigation has been initiated.
