Kulgam, April 19, 2025: In view of the prevailing inclement weather conditions, the Health Department Kulgam has established District and Block Level Control Rooms to ensure uninterrupted healthcare services and effective coordination across the district.
These control rooms will function round-the-clock to monitor health services, address emergencies, and coordinate patient referrals and logistics in real time. The initiative aims to strengthen the emergency response system and ensure timely medical assistance during adverse weather conditions.
Chief Medical Officer Kulgam, Dr. Shawkat Hussain, stated that necessary directions have been issued to all Block Medical Officers (BMOs) and healthcare institutions to remain on high alert and ensure availability of staff, essential medicines, and other emergency supplies.
The public is advised to contact the respective control rooms in case of any medical emergencies or health-related assistance. The Health Department has reiterated its commitment to safeguarding public health and ensuring seamless delivery of services despite weather challenges.
