Jammu, Apr 20: Vehicular movement on the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway (NH-44) was halted from both directions on Sunday due to landslides, mudslides, and shooting stones triggered by continuous heavy rainfall along the route.
An Official told news agency JKNS that multiple stretches of the highway have become unsafe for travel owing to the prevailing weather conditions, causing disruption in traffic. The highway remains blocked at several key locations.
Authorities have urged commuters to avoid travel on NH-44 until weather conditions improve and the road is cleared for safe movement. Restoration work is expected to begin once the weather stabilizes. (JKNS)
