Jammu, May 10: A fresh incident of cross-border shelling by Pakistan has claimed another civilian life in Kheeri Jammu on Saturday morning.
A senior official confirmed to news agency JKNS that one civilian was martyered in Pakistani shelling in Kheeri area of Jammu.
The deceased has been identified as Kaku Juggar, 53, a resident of Rapair Kheri area in Jammu, who succumbed to injuries caused by shell fragments during the latest round of unprovoked shelling, official said.
Authorities have urged residents in vulnerable areas to stay indoors and follow safety protocols.(JKNS)
