Srinagar, May 15: Today, on 15th May, a significant meeting was held at the Head Office of Janta Dal United in Rajbagh, Srinagar, chaired by Party President G.M. Shaheen. The meeting was attended by all District Presidents and State Secretaries from across Jammu and Kashmir. The primary agenda was to assess the current situation in various districts and to discuss ongoing developments affecting the region.

President Shaheen addressed pressing concerns, especially those arising from cross-border shelling incidents. Expressing deep solidarity, he stated:
“We stand with the families who have been affected by cross-border shellings and the losses they have endured.”

In response, he issued a directive to all District Presidents to visit border areas, monitor the ground situation, and ensure necessary support is extended to affected communities.
Shaheen also praised the recent Operation Sindoor and extended his congratulations to the Hon’ble Prime Minister, commending the government’s firm stance in safeguarding the nation’s interests and delivering a strong message to Pakistan.

Further, the President stressed the need for grassroots-level mobilization, urging all leaders to remain actively engaged with the public, conduct welfare programs, and listen closely to the needs of their constituents.

In a key organizational development, G.M. Dar was nominated as the District President of Bandipora. The nomination was met with unanimous approval and applause from all present, acknowledging Dar’s dedication to the people of Bandipora and his efforts towards public welfare.
