Srinagar: 19, Sept Dr. Zulfikar, founder member of the G. R. Beigh Memorial Foundation and General Secretary of the Srinagar Chemists and Distributors Association, was recently acknowledged for his timely intervention during an in-flight medical emergency.
On IndiGo flight no. 6E6049 from Mumbai to New Delhi, a passenger developed a cardiac complication accompanied by severe breathlessness. Responding immediately, Dr. Zulfikar extended medical assistance, helping stabilize the passenger until the flight landed safely.
Upon arrival, the airline’s ground team, in coordination with local medical staff, evacuated the patient and ensured transfer to the nearest hospital for further treatment.
