Kulgam, Sept 29: Public Model School Munad Guffan Manchowa in south Kashmir’s Kulgam district, in collaboration with social workers, today organised an awareness programme on drug abuse alongside a cleanliness drive.
The programme sought to educate students and the local community about the harmful effects of substance abuse, its impact on health and society, and the pressing need for preventive measures. Speakers emphasised the shared responsibility of families, schools, and society in safeguarding youth from the growing menace of drugs.
As part of the initiative, a cleanliness drive was carried out in and around the school premises to promote the importance of hygiene and a healthy environment.
Students participated enthusiastically in both activities and pledged to contribute towards building a drug-free and clean society.
