During the course of investigation, Police Station Qaimoh established that the accused had acquired illegally earned assets having a market value of approximately ₹36 lakh from the proceeds of drug trafficking. The said property, a single-storey residential house at Vedow Mishipora, was attached by a police team in the presence of respectable citizens and the Executive Magistrate. This action is part of the sustained campaign of Kulgam Police to strike at the roots of the narcotics economy and dismantle the financial networks supporting the drug trade in the district.

The action has been widely appreciated by local residents, who hailed the police initiative for its firm stance against the growing drug menace and expressed hope that such consistent measures will deter others from indulging in the illegal trade. Locals also commended the police for their proactive approach in protecting the younger generation from the scourge of drugs.

SSP Kulgam Shri Anayat Ali Choudhary (IPS) said that action against drug peddlers will continue with full intensity and that Kulgam Police is determined to ensure that no one benefits from the proceeds of crime. He reaffirmed that the aim is to make Kulgam a drug-free district and that the police will continue to act firmly against all individuals involved in narcotic smuggling and identify and attach their illegally acquired properties.

Kulgam Police has appealed to the general public to share information regarding persons involved in drug peddling or trafficking in their localities. Citizens can report such information confidentially to the nearest Police Station or through official helpline numbers. Police have reiterated that community cooperation remains crucial in our collective fight against the drug free.
