Baramulla, Nov 8: The Traffic Police Department has intensified its drive against traffic violations across Baramulla district in North Kashmir to ensure road safety and discipline.
The operation was led by SSP Traffic Rural Kashmir Ravinder Paul Singh, along with Mujahid Nazir DySP Traffic Baramulla-Kupwara. Several officials from the traffic department participated in the drive.
According to SSP Traffic Rural Kashmir, hundreds of vehicles were challaned and many were seized during the ongoing crackdown. The officer emphasized that the campaign aims to curb reckless driving, overloading, and unlicensed driving, which often lead to accidents.
He urged parents not to allow their children to drive vehicles without valid driving licenses, warning that strict legal action will be taken against violators. “Any individual found performing dangerous stunts on roads will face an FIR,” he added.
The intensified drive will continue in the coming days to promote road safety and responsible driving habits among commuters.
