KULGAM, NOVEMBER 09: The two-day Mega Science Festival organized by Kendriya Vidyalaya (KV) Aamnoo, Kulgam, concluded successfully, witnessing enthusiastic participation from students who showcased a wide range of innovative scientific models and projects.
The festival was inaugurated by Deputy Commissioner Kulgam, Athar Aamir Khan (IAS), aimed to foster scientific curiosity, creativity, and innovation among young learners. Over ten schools from across the district participated in the event, presenting projects that demonstrated critical thinking, practical learning, and problem-solving skills.
Speaking on the occasion, the Deputy Commissioner lauded the initiative as a significant platform for nurturing young scientific minds. He emphasized the importance of cultivating scientific temperament among students and encouraged schools to continue organizing such knowledge-driven and experiential learning events.
During his visit, the DC interacted with students, appreciated their exhibits, and congratulated both the participants and teachers for their efforts in making the festival a grand success.
The two-day event also featured interactive sessions, live demonstrations, and science exhibitions designed to ignite interest in science and technology among students.
The closing ceremony was attended by Commanding Officer, 18th Battalion CRPF, Jitendra Mohan Shilswal, Additional Commissioner Revenue, Riyaz Ahmad Shah, Chief Education Officer Kulgam, Shabir Ahmad, Principal KV Aamnoo, Kapil Singh, Coordinator, Vikas Kumar, and several other officers and dignitaries.
