Kulgam, Nov 19: Kulgam Police, accompanied by medical officers from the Health Department, on Wednesday carried out inspections of lockers and storage racks used by doctors and staff across multiple health institutions in the district to prevent any misuse and strengthen internal security.

In a statement issued here to news agency Kashmir News Corner — KNC, In line with ongoing efforts to ensure transparency, accountability, and proper utilization of hospital infrastructure, Kulgam Police along with medical officers of health department today conducted checking of lockers used by doctors and staff in various health institutions across the district.

The inspection drive was carried out to prevent any possible misuse of lockers for storage of unauthorized items and to strengthen internal security measures within medical facilities, it reads.

During the checking, all racks and lockers were thoroughly examined, and staff were briefed to maintain proper records and ensure that the lockers are used strictly for official and legitimate purposes only, it reads.

Kulgam Police has reiterated that such inspections will continue as part of routine vigilance to maintain a safe and secure environment in hospitals, reads the statement. (KNC)
