Srinagar : 22 Nov, The Jammu & Kashmir Scheduled Castes , Scheduled Tribes & Backward classes Development Corporation organised Awareness Camp at Sonawar ,Srinagar on 22nd November 2025 in collaboration with National Backward Classes Finance & Development Corporation (NBCFDC),New Delhi aimed at educating the public about Self Employment Scheme at concessional rates of interest.

The event witnessed a large turnout, mostly from Backward Classes communities alongwith participants from diverse section of society. The camp served as a platform to inform about corporation’s schemes, particularly  those tailored for the upliftment of Backward Classes Communities.

Officials of corporation delivered comprehensive presentation outlining the objective , benefits and application procedures of the schemes. Deputy General Manager,Sh. Mehmood-ul -Haq Gundroo,District Manager Sh.Zulfikar Ali ,Accounts Officer Sh. Babar Bashir  alongwith other staff and  Director, Sh., Bashir Ahmed Bhat ,Rural Self Employment training Institute were present during the event.

Sh. Bashir Ahmed Bhat,Director,also, shared his insights and encouraged participants to avail the benefits of the schemes. He expressed hope that more such camps may be organised in the future to ensure wider coverage and inclusion of beneficiaries.

On the spot distribution of brochures, pamphlets and application forms was facilitated during the event.
