Budgam, Saturday, 29: A grand celebration was organized on Saturday at Government Middle School Hardapanzoo under the aegis of Educational Zone Hardapanzoo, as part of the ongoing enrollment drive aimed at strengthening government school education in the region. The event was conducted in collaboration with the J&K Teachers Association Budgam, Zone Hardapanzoo, and witnessed the presence of several senior officials from the education sector.

Among the dignitaries who attended were Director School Education Kashmir (DSEK) Naseer Ahmad Wani, Joint Director SCERT Kashmir Syed Shabir, Deputy CEO Budgam, ZEO Hardapanzoo, faculty members from DIET, and the planning and resource teams. Upon their arrival, the visiting officers were warmly welcomed by the school staff, teachers, and resource persons.

During the event, the school management presented a comprehensive overview of the achievements recorded under the ongoing enrollment initiative. Officials were briefed that a substantial number of new students had been admitted to various government schools across the zone, indicating a growing level of trust among parents in the public education system.

Director Education Kashmir Naseer Ahmad Wani expressed appreciation for the rising trend of parents withdrawing their children from private schools and enrolling them in government institutions. He described this shift as a “positive and encouraging development” and highlighted it as a clear sign of renewed public confidence in the government-run education system.

“It is extremely heartening to see dozens of parents choosing government schools for their children,” Wani said while addressing participants during his visit to Government Middle School Hardapanzoo. “This growing trust reflects the improved quality of education, enhanced facilities, and strengthened academic environment that our schools now offer.”

Wani urged teachers to continue maintaining high standards of professionalism, dedication, and responsibility. He emphasized that the Department of School Education remains committed to meeting the expectations of the public and ensuring that children receive quality education in safe and supportive learning environments.

He further noted that the increase in enrollment is the direct outcome of various reforms undertaken by the department, including infrastructure upgrades, improved teaching standards, digital learning initiatives, and stronger monitoring mechanisms implemented across government schools in Kashmir.

The event also included an inspection of the school premises by the visiting officials. They interacted with teachers, students, and parents, appreciating their role in supporting the government’s educational initiatives. Officials applauded the community’s cooperation and emphasized that such programs not only raise awareness but also enhance the credibility and stature of government schools.

The celebration concluded with a message of continued commitment Toward strengthening public education and encouraging more parents to choose government-run institutions for their children’s academic future.
