Jammu, Dec 21: Amid heightened security alert, Jammu and Kashmir Police on Sunday recovered a Chinese-made telescope of an assault rifle from Sidra area of Jammu district.
Official sources told news agency Kashmir News Corner — KNC that the suspicious equipment was detected during routine surveillance and checking near the high-security zone.
Following the recovery, senior police officials rushed to the spot and the entire area was immediately cordoned off as a precautionary measure.
Sources said the recovery has prompted intensified security checks in and around the area, while a thorough investigation has been launched.
