Kulgam, Apr 20: Government Degree College Frisal, in collaboration with the District Administration and Kulgam Police, organised an awareness programme under the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan to educate students about the harmful effects of drug abuse and promote a drug-free society.

As per news agency JKNS, Government Degree College Frisal, in collaboration with the District Administration and Kulgam Police, successbfully organized an awareness programme under the Nasha Mukht Bharat Abhiyaan to sensitize students about the harmful effects of drug abuse.

The programme witnessed enthusiastic participation from students through debates, essay writing, and painting competitions, providing them a platform to express their thoughts and creativity against substance abuse.

What is truly inspiring is the energy and conviction shown by the youth, who raised powerful slogans like ‘Say No to Drugs, Yes to Life.’ This reflects a growing awareness and collective resolve among young minds to build a healthier, drug-free society.

District Adminstration and Kulgam Police also emphasized the importance of community participation in curbing drug abuse and urged citizens, especially the youth, to share any information related to drug peddling or substance abuse. People can report such activities confidentially through the nearest police station or by contacting the district police helpline. The identity of informants will be kept strictly confidential, ensuring their safety and encouraging active public cooperation in making the district drug-free. (JKNS)
