Srinagar, Jun 25: Jammu and Kashmir Minister for Education, Sakeena Itoo on Thursday said that the government will review the issue of summer vacations in schools during the month of July and take an appropriate decision accordingly.

Speaking to reporters in Srinagar, as per news agency JKNS, Itoo said the matter of summer vacations will be discussed by the concerned authorities and a decision will be taken after assessing the prevailing situation.

“We will discuss summer vacations in July,” the minister said when asked about the possibility of announcing a break for schools amid rising temperatures.

She, however, did not specify any timeline for the decision and said the government would take a call after reviewing all relevant factors.

The statement comes amid speculations on summer vacations in educational institutions due to the prevailing weather conditions in parts of Jammu and Kashmir. (JKNS)
