Uri, July 07:A joint team of police and army recovered a cache of arms and ammunition during a search operation in the Hatlanga area of Uri Sector in Baramulla district on Tuesday morning.
Officials told GNS that a joint operation was launched by police and the Indian Army in Hatlanga, and during the search operation they recovered two AK-56 rifles, two AK-56 magazines, 256 AK-56 rounds, one pistol with two magazines, five hand grenades, three packets of cigarettes and one black bag.
Police have taken cognizance of the recovery and further investigation is underway.(GNS)
