Students, youth, traders, police join mega Tiranga Rally in Budgam

Budgam, Aug 13: As part of the ongoing Mega Tiranga Campaign-2026, vibrant Tiranga rallies were organised across various parts of Budgam district, with enthusiastic participation from students, youth, civil society members, traders, transporters, local residents, civil administration, and police personnel.

According to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), in Beerwah, a Mega Tiranga Rally was organised by Social Activist and Youth Leader Muzamil Mehmood in collaboration with the Municipal Committee Beerwah. The rally witnessed participation from students of different schools, members of the Trade and Transport Associations, youth, civil society, civil administration and police, with participants carrying the National Tricolour with pride and marching through the area, creating a vibrant atmosphere of patriotism and national unity.

Speaking on the occasion, Muzamil Mehmood said the rally was aimed at promoting patriotism, national unity and respect for the National Tricolour, while encouraging greater participation of youth and the community in programmes dedicated to the nation. He appreciated the overwhelming participation of students, traders, transporters, youth, civil society, administration and police, saying that the participation of people from different sections reflected the spirit of unity and collective responsibility.

Mehmood expressed gratitude to the Municipal Committee Beerwah and all participating stakeholders for their cooperation and support in making the rally a successful event.

The Sub-District Administration Khan Sahib organised another vibrant Mega Tiranga Rally featuring ATVs and cars, as part of the Mega Tiranga Campaign-2026. The rally was flagged off from Primary School Bithpora Rayar towards Higher Secondary School Hardupanzoo, witnessing enthusiastic participation from officials, students, local residents and people from various sections of society, with participants carrying the Tricolour with pride and creating an atmosphere of patriotism, unity and national spirit along the rally route.

At Hardupanzoo, a Tiranga Padyatra and students’ rally was also organised, in which a large number of students participated enthusiastically, with the Padyatra being led by SDM Khan Sahib Jahangir Ahmad Giri along with ZEO Hardupanzoo G. R. Nasir, as students marched with the Tricolour, raised patriotic slogans and conveyed the message of unity, peace and national pride.

The programmes across Beerwah and Khan Sahib highlighted the importance of collective participation in celebrating the spirit of the nation, with special emphasis on involving the younger generation in activities promoting patriotism and responsible citizenship.

The administration and organisers expressed gratitude to all participants, officials, students, volunteers, civil society members and local residents for their enthusiastic support, reaffirming the commitment to strengthening the values of patriotism, unity, national pride and responsible citizenship under the Mega Tiranga Campaign-2026—(KNO)
