Jammu, Oct 7: A 27-year-old woman constable of Border Security Force allegedly died due to bullet injury under mysterious circumstances at a forward Border Outpost in R S Pura sector.
The deceased has been identified as Raj Laxmi, posted at Susheel Post, a forward BOP along the International Border in R S Pura.
Official sources told GNS that colleagues rushed to the spot after hearing a gunshot and found the constable in a pool of blood. She was immediately shifted to Government Medical College and Hospital Jammu where doctors declared her as brought dead.
Police have taken cognizance of the incident and started investigation to ascertain the circumstances leading to the firing incident.
