Anantnag Sep 24: District Administration Anantnag today organized a programme under Jan Abhiyan Awami Muhim for Ex. Servicemen, Specially abled persons of the District to redress their grievances and issues. The programme was attended by a large number of Ex Servicemen and physically challenged persons. They put various demands related to issuance of ration cards, concession in power bills, enhancement in monthly honorarium, construction of ramps in Government offices for easy access, issuance of free ration to Ex. Servicemen, providing of motorized try cycles to left out specially abled persons, implementation of 3% quto in government offices for Ex.servicemen.

District Development Commissioner, Anantnag, Mr. K.K Sidha gave patient hearing to the Ex. Service men and specially abled persons and issued orders for redressal of some issues on spot and assured them that their genuine issues will be fulfilled in a phased manner. The DDC issued orders to the concerned officers for looking into the problems and issues faced by them.

DDC also issued three laptops among three students one from Zaiba Aapa inclusive Educational Institute Bijbehra and two students studding in AMU.

The Jan Abhiyan Awami Muhim programme was also held at Achabal which was attended by large number of Agriculture Community who were apprized about various welfare and flagship programmes including PM. KISAN, SAMANEDHI, PM. KISSAN SHRAMDHAN and KISSAN MANDHAN YOJNA.

They were also aweared about supply of machinery including tractors, wheel carts, weeders, hand driven carts, brush cutters, water,spray pumps and tellers on 50% subsidy.

Meanwhile the participants were apprized about covid 19 spike raised to an alarming height which need to controlled by adhering sop’s at every corner of life. The officers stressed upon the people for usage of face masks, sanitizers and maintaining social distancing.

Among others the programme was attended by GM.DIC Anantnag, ACR, ACD, DSWO, DPO and other senior officers.
