An elderly person died on spot after he fell down from a walnut tree in North Kashmir’s Bandipora district on Tuesday.

The incident occurred at Zeban Chuntimulla area of Bandipora.

Police sources told KNT that 50 year old man Doda Khan Awan son of Bagu Khan lost balance when he was on the branch of a walnut tree.

He fell down and sustained serious injuries. He was immediately shifted to hospital where doctors declared him dead.

Meanwhile, a youth died after he fell down from an electric police while he was repairing electric wire in Central Kashmir’s Budgam district.

The incident occurred at Iskandarpora area of Beerwah.

Police sources identified him as Shabir Ahmed Khan son of Muhammad Sidiq Khan, a resident of Aripanthan Beerwah. KNT
