Covid claims one more life, 45 test positive in J&K

Srinagar, Feb 10: Jammu and Kashmir on Wednesday reported one more death related to Covid-19 taking toll of deaths in J&K to 1,945 while as 45 fresh cases of Covid-19 were reported in the UT taking the tally of total positive cases to 125,052.

Of the exact number of 125,052 cases, 73,372 are from Kashmir and 51,680 from Jammu division. Officials told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that among 45 new cases, 39 belong to Kashmir division while as 06 are from Jammu division, adding that the total number of positive cases in Kashmir division have reached to 73,372 including 71,663 recoveries and 1,223 deaths while as total number of positive cases in Jammu division have reached to 51,680 including 50,839 recoveries and 722 deaths.

The officials said that the total number of active cases in Jammu and Kashmir are 605 including 486 from Kashmir division and 119 from Jammu division.

With 32 more recoveries, the tally of total recoveries in Jammu and Kashmir has reached 122,502 which is 97.95 percent of the total cases.

“Cases tested positive in J&K include 23 from Srinagar, 02 from Baramulla, 04 from Budgam, 01 from Pulwama, 01 from Kupwara, 02 from Anantnag, 03 from Bandipora, 01 from Ganderbal, 01 from Kulgam and 01 from Shopian in Kashmir division while as 05 from Jammu division include 05 from Jammu, 00 from Udhampur, 00 from Rajouri, 01 from Doda, 00 from Kathua, 00 from Samba, 00 from Kishtwar, 00 from Poonch, 00 from Ramban and 00 from Reasi,” officials disclosed.

Notably, in last twenty four hours one person from kashmir division who was tested positive for Covid-19 has died.

As per officials figures, 26,419 positive cases including 458 deaths and 25,746 recoveries are from Srinagar, 8,134 including 175 deaths and 7,945 recoveries are from Baramulla, 7,808 including 7,648 recoveries and 118 deaths are from Budgam, 5,767 including 5,630 recoveries and 88 deaths are from Pulwama, 5,667 including 96 deaths and 5,563 recoveries are from Kupwara, 4,943 including 4,807 recoveries and 86 deaths are from Anantnag, 4,700 cases including 4,621 and 61 deaths are from Bandipora, 4,650 including 4,547 recoveries and 47 deaths are from Ganderbal, 2,703 including 2,632 recoveries and 54 deaths are from Kulgam and 2,579 including 2,524 recoveries and 40 deaths are from Shopian.

In Jammu division, 25,042 including 24,617 recoveries and 371 deaths are from Jammu district, 4,226 including 4,146 recoveries and 57 deaths are from Udhampur, 3,870 including 3,813 recoveries and 55 deaths are from Rajouri, 3,435 including 3,366 recoveries and 64 deaths are from Doda, 3,256 including 3,200 recoveries and 53 deaths are from Kathua, 2,832 including 2,785 recoveries and 40 deaths are from Samba, 2,732 including 2,709 recoveries and 22 deaths are from Kishtwar, 2,507 including 2,467 recoveries and 24 deaths are from Poonch, 2,135 including 2,112 recoveries and 21 deaths are from Ramban and 1,645 including 1,624 recoveries and 15 deaths are from Reasi.

As per the daily information bulletin 1,191,190 persons in Jammu and Kashmir are under observation while 34,278 persons have been kept under home quarantine besides that 605 persons are in isolation.

According to the bulletin, 1,049,160 persons have completed surveillance period and 105,202 persons are under home surveillance besides that so far results of 4,752,735 samples are available.

Out of 4,752,735 the number of samples tested negative stands at 4,627,683 while as 125,052 have tested positive, among them 605 persons are active, 122,502 persons have recovered and 1,945 persons have died—(KNO)
