Bijbehara, Jun 04: Ten days after electrocution at Tulkhan village of Bijbehara Tehsil, a daily wager of Power Development Department (PDD) has succumbed to injuries at SK Institute of Medical Sciences (SKIMS) on Friday.
An official told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), that PDD daily wager received an electric shock when he was repairing the High Tension (HT) line in Tulkhan village on May 25, 2021.
He added that the PDD daily wager identified as Ashiq Hussain, son of Mohammad Subhan Khan of Waghama Bijbehara received an electric shock when he came in contact with a live wire in Tulkhan locality while repairing HT line.
Ashiq was immediately rushed to Sub District Hospital (SDH) Bijbehara from where he was shifted to GMC Anantnag where doctors referred him to SKIMS in serious condition, he added.
He said that Ashiq succumbed to his injuries at SKIMS on Friday afternoon—(KNO)
