Pulwama 14 June — The councillors on Monday protested against National Conference Municipality Chairman and Vice Chairman at Municipal Office Pulwama, alleging that the work is being set around National Conference wards only.

The councillors alleged that they are being ignored and their views are not considered while drafting a plan.

“People have choosen us to work as they have lot of expectations from us but if there will be no developmental work, people will raise questions on our credibility,” said one of the councillor.

“When any resolution is passed, that goes to National Conference office in Pulwama where from directions are given to set around National Conference wards only,” the councillors allege.

The executive officer and employees have joined hands with National Conference and are doing work as per NC’s wishes.

The councillors have requested Deputy Commissioner Pulwama Baseer-ul-Haq and Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir Union Territory Manoj Sinha to solve their issue else they will resign adding they will continue to protest unless their issue is not resolved.

The councillors have alleged ma’am has no majority and should prove her majority.

When Contacted Vice Chairman Municipilty Pulwama Shabir Ahmad he told, These are all baseless allegations, Every work plan is being done at Municipility Office Pulwama.

He added, We have full majority in Council and nothing wrong has done in MC Pulwama.
