Rescue operation of SDRF to retrieve the body going on
Srinagar : A non-local labourer drowned to death in river Jhelum at Ukhoo village of Kakpora hamlet in South Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Wednesday.
A Police official told KDC that a non-local labourer identified as Zeeshan Ahmad, son of Ayoub Saha of Uttar Pradesh, working at a brick kiln drowned in river Jhelum in Kakapora following which a rescue operation was started.
He said that “Those who were present at the spot jumped into the river to rescue him, however, couldn’t save his life,” he added.Rescue operation by SDRF Pulwama is on in the area to retrieve the body of the labourer, he added.
