JKSSB commences Computer based Type Test for 249 posts of Junior Scale Stenographer from 11th October 2021 and Type Test for 1539 posts of Junior Assistants to commence from 20th October, 2021 onwards

Srinagar, Oct 12: The Computer Based Type Test for the posts of Junior Scale Stenographer, Personal Assistant and Steno Typist commenced from 11th October, 2021 to 18th October, 2021 at NIELIT, Jammu (formerly DOEACC, an Institution Under Ministry of Communications & IT, Govt of India), University Campus, Jammu and NIELIT (formerly DOEACC), Old Airport Road, Rangreth, Budgam.

The Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board (JKSSB) advertised 249 posts of Junior Scale Stenographer/Personal Assistant/Steno Typist of UT Cadre, Divisional Cadres and various Districts cadres, advertised vide Advertisement Notification Nos 04 of 2020, 05 of 2020, 06 of 2020 & 07 of 2020 and 01 of 2021, 02 of 2021 and 03 of 2021.

The JKSSB received 11006 online application forms from 4105 unique candidates for the aforesaid 249 posts.
The aforesaid type test/ skill test of the afore said posts is the first phase of assessment for a multi stage recruitment process for the posts of Junior Scale Stenographer/Personal Assistant/Steno Typist. The successful candidates shall have to appear in shorthand / skill test before appearing in the Computer based Written Test (CBT) Examination, which shall be held subsequently.

Further, the JKSSB under Accelerated Recruitment Programme has also scheduled Type test for 1539 posts of Junior Assistant/ Computer-cum-Junior Assistant/ Cadrex Clerk/Cashier/Store Attendant/ Welfare Organiser w.e.f. 20th October,2021 both at Jammu and Srinagar.

The JKSSB received 197727 online application forms for aforesaid 1539 posts and 75401 unique candidates are likely to participate in the scheduled Type Test which shall continue for about three (03) months in a phased manner. Subsequently, a Computer based written Test (CBT) Examination of the qualified candidates shall be held to finalise the selection based on two-stage examination process.
