Srinagar, Nov 15: Government on Monday notified 221 Gazetted and 1535 Non-Gazetted posts transferred to Union Territory of Ladakh.

As per an order issued here, vide S.O. 339 dated 30.10.2020, apportionment of Assets, Liabilities and Posts of the erstwhile State of Jammu & Kashmir between the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir and Union Territory of Ladakh has been notified.

The SO provides for detailed listing of additional 325 Gazetted and 3000 Non-Gazetted posts from the overall strength of Union territory of Jammu & Kashmir to the Union territory of Ladakh, the government order, a copy of which lies with GNS, reads further.

“The matter regarding listing of additional posts in the manner was taken up with the Union territory of Ladakh who vide communication No. UTL/GAD/22/2020(l) dated 14.12.2020, provided the list of posts identified for their transfer to the Union territory of Ladakh in terms of S.O 339 dated 30.10.2020,” the order said, adding, “Consequent upon the approval of the Competent Authority, vide Government Order No. 102-Edu of 2021 dated 22.04.2021, the School Education Department has transferred 1284 Non-Gazetted posts (Teacher Grade II & III) to the Union territory of Ladakh, against 1320 Non-Gazetted posts listed by the Union territory of Ladakh,” the order reads further, adding, “in pursuance to the provisions contained in Annexure-I of the S.O 339 dated 30.10.2020, the listing in respect of 221 Gazetted and 1535 Non-Gazetted posts transferred to Union Territory of Ladakh is hereby notified, which shall be in addition to the 1284 Non-Gazetted posts transferred by the School Education Department and shall also be subject to any modification, in consultation with the Union territory of Ladakh.”

Further, the order said, the Administrative Departments/ Organizations shall make necessary changes in the relevant recruitment rules on account of above transfer/listing. (GNS)
