Srinagar, May 06 : Another militant has been killed taking toll to 2 in an ongoing encounter at Batkoot area of Pahalgam in South Kashmir’s Ananatnag district on Friday.
Official sources told GNS, that second militant has been killed in an ongoing encounter, however identity of the slain militants were yet to be ascertained.
A senior police officer told GNS that the third militant is still alive and is being engaged in firefight by the joint team.
Earlier reports reaching GNS that a joint team of Police and army launched a cordon and search operation in Batkoot forest area of Pahalgam.
As the joint team of forces approached towards the suspected spot, the hiding militants fired upon the forces, triggering off a gunfight.(GNS)
