Kargil, July 28, 2022: Kargil remembered late Sheikh Mohammad Hussain Zakiri on his 6th demise anniversary here in Kargil.
In this connection a series of program were organised by IKMT and branches at Jama Masjid, KGS Library, graveyard and Zakiri Hall at Mutahhary High Department, Kurbathang. Renowned national level Islamic Scholar Moulana Akhtar Abbas Jaun was invited as chief guest and guest speaker on the occasion.
Earlier a seminar was held at Khwaja Ghulam Sayedein Library at Khomeini tower where dozens of scholars and students besides key members of IKMT participated. A similar majlis was held at Jama Masjid Imam Ali where Moulana Akhtar Abbas Jaun highlighted the versatile personality of late Sheikh Mohammad Hussain Zakiri.
Earlier this morning a prayer congregation (fatiha khwani) was conducted at the Graveyard of Sheikh Hussain Zakiri where his close associates, religious scholars and hundreds of students of Mutahhary School paid floral tribute to the late leader.
Later a grand function was also held at Zakiri Hall, Mutahhary High department, Kurbathang where thousands of students and public participated. Speaking to media, scholar Feroz Ahmad Rabbani said, “Sheikh Mohammad Hussain Zakiri is father of modern education in Kargil”.
On the occasion scores of speakers and scholars highlighted the struggle of the late leader and paid rich tribute to him.
While speaking to media guest speaker Moulana Akhtar Abbas Jaun Said. “Sheikh Mohammad Hussain Zakiri not only awaken and directed the people of this Himayalan region on the path of Islamic revolution, rather he practically showed how to be firm on the lines laid down by Imam Khomeini and walk on it”.
