Shopian, Sep 6: Militants have escaped from the encounter spot in South Kashmir’s Shopian district.
An encounter between militants and joint forces had broken out yesterday in Bsakuchan area of the district.
After the initial exchange of fire, the area had been sealed off as the operation was halted during night hours.
SSP Shopian, Tanushree confirmed to news agency Kashmir News Trust that militants escaped from the encounter spot.
The operation has been called off. (KNT)
