Bandipora, May 04 : Bandipora Bar association today elected Advocate Masood Bhat as its president While as Advocate Ab Rashid khan was declared vice president as uncontested during election at district court complex in north Kashmir’s Bandipora district.
A total of 48 members cast their votes during the election for district Bar Association.
An official told the news agency—Kashmir News Service (KNS) that advocate Masood Bhat secured 26 votes to be elected as president while the other contender for the post secured 22 votes.
Moreover, Advocate Aamir shafi got 31 votes and his opponent got 17 votes as Joint secretary/Treasurer Bar Association Bandipora.
Advocate Ab Rashid khan and Advocate Sameer Khan were declared winners uncontested for the post of vice president and secretary respectively.
On this occasion Advocate Masood Bhat said that “Elected body will do their job honestly and will uphold the dignity and respect of the lawyers and Association.”
The election was and conducted by election body of District Bar Association Bandipora. (KNS)
