Srinagar, July 27: – Janata Dal United JD (U) State President G M Shaheen, addressing a press conference at the party office in Rajbagh, Srinagar, made a compelling appeal to the government to take proactive steps in addressing employment opportunities abroad. He emphasized the necessity of sending officials to foreign countries to secure jobs for the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
During his address, Shaheen also highlighted the contrasting weather conditions affecting the nation. While other states are experiencing heavy rainfall, Jammu and Kashmir have not received adequate rain. He expressed deep concern over the dry conditions impacting the region, which could have adverse effects on agriculture and water resources.
Shaheen also stressed the critical need for counseling and guiding children to prevent drug abuse. He underscored that proper guidance and support are essential in steering the youth away from the dangers of drug addiction.
In addition to advocating for employment opportunities, Shaheen urged the government to make airline tickets tax-free. He argued that this measure would facilitate travel for the residents of Jammu and Kashmir, thereby supporting their employment prospects and enhancing overall connectivity.
Shaheen’s address highlighted a multi-faceted approach to improving the socio-economic conditions in Jammu and Kashmir, emphasizing the importance of government intervention and support in these critical areas.
