Samba, Sep 02: Border Security Force (BSF), Police Component Jammu and Samba Police recovered three pistols believed to have been air-dropped by a drone from across the border in Ramgarh Sector of district Samba, an official statement said as per news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) Monday.
“On credible input regarding the drone activity in Mallu Chack area, a joint ambush by BSF, PC Jammu and Samba Police was laid in the area. On hearing the humming sound of the drone coming from the Pak side, security personnel fired some rounds towards the direction of the humming sound and pushed the drone back to the Pak side,” the BSF spokesman said, adding that after spotting suspected drone movement, thorough search operation was launched in the general area of Mallu Chack and three pistols were recovered suspected to be dropped by the drone.
“In this regard, a Case FIR No. 81/2024 u/s 113(3)/149 BNS and 7/25 Arms Act has been registered at Police Station Ramgarh and further investigation is going on,” the statement said—(KNO)
