Kulgam, Sep, 07: As part of the Systematic Voters’ Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) initiative, a dedicated voter awareness session was conducted for Self-Help Groups (SHGs) in Devsar today. The event aimed to educate SHG members about the electoral process, their voting rights, and the importance of participating in elections.
The session, organized by the District Election Office, featured presentations on voter registration, the use of electronic voting machines, and the steps to verify one’s voter ID. Interactive discussions and Q&A segments allowed participants to address their queries and gain a deeper understanding of the voting process.
District officials highlighted the role of SHGs in spreading awareness within their communities and stressed that informed voters are essential for a robust democratic process. The program is part of a broader effort to ensure that all sections of the population are engaged and prepared for upcoming elections.
