Kulgam, December 7, 2024: Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Kulgam, Shri Sahil Sarangal-IPS, chaired a crucial crime and security review meeting at the District Police Office (DPO) Kulgam to assess the current law and order situation and discuss security measures in the district.
The meeting was attended by a host of senior officials, including Deputy Director Prosecution SKR Anantnag, ASP Kulgam, ASP NHW Qazigund, PP Court Kulgam, SDPOs, DySP PCs, all SHOs, and IC PPs. The discussions focused on several key issues, such as anti-terrorism operations, the disposal of pending UAPA/NDPS cases, the security of vulnerable individuals, and the prevention of social crimes and cybercrimes.
SSP Kulgam, in his address, stressed the importance of bolstering the counter-insurgency and security framework to effectively tackle the challenges faced by the region. He called for stringent action against individuals involved in anti-national activities and emphasized the need for heightened surveillance in sensitive areas.
The officers were instructed to adopt a public-centric approach in their work, focusing on addressing public grievances, taking decisive action against illegal activities, and ensuring the safety and security of the citizens. The meeting concluded with a renewed commitment to maintaining law and order and enhancing the security environment for the residents of Kulgam.
