Kulgam: The District Hospital Kulgam has been equipped with a state-of-the-art Digital Radiography (DR) system, addressing the disruption caused by the recent breakdown of the hospital’s X-ray machine. The installation is expected to significantly improve diagnostic services, ensuring timely and accurate treatment for patients.
The project was funded by the Deputy Commissioner of Kulgam, Mr. Athar Amir Khan, whose intervention ensured the prompt allocation of necessary resources. The procurement and installation process was fast-tracked under the guidance of Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Kulgam, Dr. Showkat Hussain, and Medical Superintendent (MS) Dr. A.G. Raina, both of whom played a crucial role in bringing the system online in record time.
The DR system represents a vital enhancement to the hospital’s capabilities, allowing for quicker and more precise imaging, which is critical for efficient patient care. Local residents have welcomed this development, expressing hope that such upgrades will continue to improve the healthcare landscape in the district.
The installation of the DR system is part of broader efforts by the hospital and health authorities to strengthen healthcare infrastructure in Kulgam.
