The camp was inaugurated by Deputy Commissioner (DC) Anantnag, Syeed Fakhrudin Hamid (IAS), in the presence of J&K Bank’s General Manager and Divisional Head (Kashmir) Shabir Ahmad, Zonal Head (Anantnag) Khursheed Muzaffar, DGM Rakesh Magotra, Cluster Heads of Anantnag and Kulgam, as well as the District Horticulture and Agriculture Officers.

While appreciating the Bank’s efforts, DC Anantnag commended ‘Team Anantnag,’ led by its Zonal Head, for their dedication to serving the local farming community. “The Bank’s initiatives, such as this High-Density Plantation Camp, reflect its commitment to empowering farmers and fostering regional growth,” he said.

Divisional Head Shabir Ahmad extended special thanks to Khurram Mir, MD of Qul Fruit Wall, for his pivotal contributions to the event. “This initiative demonstrates our focus on agricultural development and rural prosperity. High-density plantation will enable farmers to maximize their potential and contribute to the region’s economic progress,” he remarked.

Addressing the farmers, Zonal Head Khursheed Muzaffar highlighted the benefits of the Bank’s High-Density Plantation Scheme for Progressive Farmers. “This scheme is tailored to transform lives by helping farmers establish high-yielding orchards. I urge all growers to visit their nearest branch and avail themselves of this opportunity,” he said.

DGM Rakesh Magotra added that the scheme offers collateral-free loans of up to Rs 5 lakh at competitive interest rates, making it a grower-friendly initiative.

During the event, over 50 farmers identified by various branches within the Anantnag Zone received on-the-spot sanction letters for High-Density Plantation loans, further underlining the Bank’s commitment to their financial empowerment.

The camp received an overwhelming response from farmers across Anantnag and Kulgam, reinforcing J&K Bank’s role as a trusted partner in regional development.
