Srinagar, Apr 04 : An alto driver died and three persons sustained injuries after two vehicles collided with each other in Budgam district this evening.
An official told news agency Kashmir Bulletin that an Alto vehicle bearing registration number JK04E 5376, driven by one Zeeshan Ashraf, son of Mohammed Ashar Thoker, a resident of Thokerpora Budgam, collided with a Tavera vehicle bearing registration number JK04C 7617, driven by one Adil Ahmad Lone, son of Altaf Ahmad Lone, a resident of Kulbugh, leaving three persons boarding the Tavera vehicle and the driver Alto vehicle injured.
“All the injured were evacuated to District Hospital Budgam, where doctors declared the Alto vehicle driver as brought dead on arrival,” the official said, adding, “the injured persons are undergoing treatment.”
Confirming the incident, a police official told Kashmir Bulletin that they have taken cognisance of the matter for further investigations. (KB)
