Anantnag : The initiative, aimed at providing medical assistance to the local population, saw the participation of over 255 individuals, including children, women, and the elderly, who were treated and given free medicines.
The 164 Battalion of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) organised a free medical camp on Monday at Public Model School area of South Kashmir’s Anantnag district.The initiative, aimed at providing medical assistance and Free Medical Checkups by Doctors to the local population, saw the participation of over 255 individuals, including children, women, and the elderly, who were treated and given free medicines.
The camp was inaugurated by TK Murali Krishnan Comdt of 164 Battalion along with Public Model School Principal.
The medical camps are part of the CRPF’s social responsibility initiatives, aimed at identifying and supporting the needy sections of society in the battalion’s operational areas. He emphasised that while the primary role of the CRPF is internal security, the force remains committed to assisting the public in all possible ways, especially through healthcare services. “Even though our main responsibility is internal security, we are always ready to extend help to the public through medical camps. This unit will continue to organise such camps in the future to support the local community Murali added.
