Pattan, July 26, 2025: In a significant gesture towards the promotion of sports and youth engagement, the Voice chairman of Doon international school Singhpora , Mr. Raaja Bhut, sponsored a cricket uniform distribution event for the Hanjiwera Cricket Club (HCC). The ceremony was held today in pattan and witnessed the active participation of players, dignitaries, and community members.

Mr. Raaja Bhut, a well-known entrepreneur and philanthropist, graced the event as the chief guest. His initiative to sponsor the cricket uniforms for the local cricket team was widely appreciated by all attendees. The team captain of HCC Akhtar Ali extended heartfelt thanks to Mr. Bhut and Sindbad Restaurant for their generous support. “We are deeply grateful to Raaja Bhut Sahib for this sponsorship. It means a lot to us as young cricketers and will definitely boost our morale and unity as a team,” the captain said during his address.

The event was also attended by several notable personalities, including senior journalist Mr. Shabroz Milk, who praised the efforts made by Sindbad Restaurant and emphasized the importance of community support in uplifting local sports talent. “Such initiatives by the local business community help not only in promoting sports but also in building a stronger, healthier society,” Mr. Milk remarked.

The cricket uniforms were formally handed over to the players during the ceremony, and a symbolic presentation took place in the presence of media and spectators. The new uniforms bear the name and logo of Sindbad Restaurant, reflecting the restaurant’s commitment to supporting youth and sports in the region.

Players from HCC expressed their excitement and enthusiasm after receiving the new kits. For many of them, this was the first time they received a professional-looking uniform, which added to their confidence and team spirit. The club’s management also thanked the sponsor and acknowledged the positive impact such support has on grassroots cricket development.

In his concluding remarks, Mr. Raaja Bhut expressed his happiness in contributing to the local cricket scene. “It is a great honor for me to support these talented young players. I believe that sports are essential for youth development, and I hope more people will come forward to support local talent in any way they can,” he said.

The event concluded with a group photo of the team, dignitaries, and guests, followed by refreshments arranged by Sindbad Restaurant.
