Rajouri, Aug 19: A Border Security Force (BSF) constable sustained injuries on Tuesday afternoon after his service weapon went off accidentally while he was on duty at a forward post along the Line of Control in Balnoi area of Rajouri district.
Official sources told news agency Kashmir News Corner — KNC that BSF Constable Narote Ganpat, posted at Balnoi forward LOC post, suffered injuries due to accidental fire while cleaning his weapon.
“The injured soldier was immediately given first aid at nearby medical facility before being shifted to Army GH Rajouri for further treatment,” sources added.
His condition was stated to be stable. (KNC)
