Kulgam, Sept 7: Suheldev Bharatiya Samaj Party (SBSP) State President, Vivek Bali, on Saturday visited Hadiigam village in South Kashmir’s Kulgam district, where he chaired a workers’ meeting to review local issues and strengthen the party’s grassroots presence. The meeting was attended by dozens of workers and local residents.

On the occasion, Shiyak Ahmad Raina was nominated as District President Kulgam, while Fayaz Ahmed Ganai was appointed Vice President Kulgam.

Addressing the gathering and speaking to the media, Vivek Bali expressed deep dissatisfaction over what he described as the “deliberate neglect” of Hadiigam by the authorities. He said that despite repeated appeals, the village continues to remain deprived of basic facilities, subjecting the local population to prolonged hardship.

Bali pointed out that the residents lack essential amenities such as a proper water supply system, adequate schooling facilities including the construction of a new school building, recognition under the Reserved Backward Area (RBA) category, a functional playgroup for children, and vital infrastructure like a bridge and a fully-equipped hospital.

“It is unfortunate that the people of Hadiigam have been left out of basic developmental schemes. Every citizen has the right to clean drinking water, quality education, proper health services, and road connectivity. Yet, the residents here are being deprived of all these facilities,” Bali said.

He further emphasized that the SBSP is committed to raising the voice of neglected communities at every platform until meaningful action is taken. “We demand immediate intervention from the authorities. Development should not be selective; it must reach every village and every household. The people of Hadiigam cannot be treated as second-class citizens,” he remarked.

Bali assured the locals that the party would extend full support to their genuine demands and pledged to take up these grievances with higher authorities.
