According to sources, the Head Assistant allegedly acted beyond his jurisdiction and sanctioned 10 days leave in favour of a teacher who is reportedly not even posted in Zone Pattan. The order was allegedly signed and issued by the official himself while acting as the Zonal Education Officer (ZEO), raising concerns within the education fraternity.

The incident has triggered resentment among teachers and employees, who have termed the matter a gross violation of departmental norms and official procedure. They have questioned how such actions could take place openly despite the presence of higher authorities in the department.

Members of the teacher fraternity have appealed to the Director School Education Kashmir and the Crime Branch Kashmir to conduct a fair and transparent inquiry into the matter and initiate strict action against those found involved.

They stated that such incidents damage the credibility of the Education Department and demanded accountability to ensure that administrative powers are not misused in future.
