Srinagar 23 May : With people in the valley already under the scorching temperature, the Meteorological Centre Srinagar has forecasted the “heat wave” over the plains of J&K during the next six days.
As per the news agency CNS, an official from the MeT Centre Srinagar said that there would be “hot and dry” weather over hilly districts of the UT during the next six days besides heat waves over the plains of J&K during the same period.
While giving out the weather forecast from 23-28 May, the official said that generally dry weather would be observed, with the possibility of a thundershower not to be ruled out.
Amid the ongoing sweltering heat, people, especially the elderly and children have been advised to avoid heat exposure from 12 noon to 3 PM
Meanwhile, the MeT did not flag any issue to farmers with regard to their farm operations keeping in view the dry weather.
